The competition at Barrow was a great success for me and my sister Chloe! I arrived on Thursday morning with my family to get some training before the competition on Saturday, it was great to get out on the water after a long 6hour journey and to kite with Hannah Whiteley and my sister! Friday morning was very windy, I got out later that morning and didn't come in till late afternoon, the wind was up and down but I enjoyed getting out there to practise, and kite with the rest of the crew! Saturday was great, perfect conditions and the sun was out, I got some more time on the water before the competition started with my sister Chloe, I was riding powered which was great for what tricks I wanted to do. Eventually the time came for my fist heat which I won, this meant I was in the final. I had a while till the final so I headed back out, by the time the final came, the wind picked up a lot and I was very powered and had to change to smaller kites. :D My final heat was against my sister and friend so it was a good competition. When the heat was over, I was pleased with my effort. All the earlier riding paid off and I achieved 1st place in the Lady Amateurs. Its was a great event and nice to catch up with everyone again. Well done with all everyone else's podium positions! Can't wait for the next even in Scotland!
