Thanks to Jim from Kite World and Rou from IKSURF mag for organising the first round of the British Kitesurfing Championships which was held at Lancing, down South of the UK.
I headed down there a day before the event hoping to get a good session in, but we were greeted with rain, more rain and a cross off wind…. Lovely British weather. After not have ridden for a couple of weeks, a sore wrist from a previous session and my last competition being the New Zealand nationals in the beginning of 2014, I was feeling the competition nerves. Saturday’s wind conditions turned out to be really good, and sunny weather after a not very promising forecast, the only thing I wasn’t really used to was the chop, especially as I was to be doing all my tricks going out, I found it very challenging!
