I’ve been very lucky with the wind at home this last month meaning lots of training sessions in between work for the British Kitesurfing Competitions. There is only three events this year and the second one is next weekend, but I unfortunately miss this event as I will be travelling back from France.
I’ve travelled down to the South of France, Biscarrosse with my family and some friends for two weeks of kiting, surfing and SUPing. We’ve had heaps of sunshine, a few days of wind and plenty of waves so there is always something to do. I had my first experience of kiting on a lake a few days ago which was exciting but incredibly gusty. Even though the lake is massive, where we were the wind was swinging all over the place. But it was still great to get out in some Fresh, clear water for a short session. When I arrive back home, I’ll have 3 weeks before the final competition at my home spot in Hunstanton. Hoping for some good wind between now and then for some serious training!
